Bosque del Apache NWR, New Mexico. January 10, 2012 by Hector D Astorga. On December 16, 2011 we made our yearly trip to Bosque del Apache National Wildlife Refuge in San Antonio, New Mexico. The refuge is about 58,000 acres and it runs parallel to the Rio Grande River.
